The San Juan Mountains Pictures Of Rocky Mountain Scenery Near Dallas Divide (October 2005) The "large scenic loop" that goes through Cortez, Durango, Silverton, Ouray, Telluride and Rico has so many scenic spots. All of these photos of the San Juan Mountains were taken at or near Dallas Divide, which is between Ouray and Telluride. For this photo, I rolled down the driver side window and carefully snapped a shot. ;) A beautiful Ouray County pasture in the foreground. At Dallas Divide, I was facing west towards Ridgway. The San Juan Mountains definitely have a very distinct and beautiful feel, with many jagged peaks like these. These pictures were submitted by Steve Garufi in Buena Vista, Colorado.
